To me Ideology means a set of doctrine or a philosophy you follow that directs the way your body of beliefs or principles are shaped.
However this does not mean the same thing to everyone. The term itself refers to the set of values a group holds. These values help decide what is accepeted of normal to a culture or community.
These ideals, that a group holds, are more often than not are enforced by the leaders or prominent figure in a community. If a member of that culture does not adhear to these values or ideology they are usually considered outcasts.
However these ideologies are not based on facts, they simply are ways that a group prefers to act and think. Ideology is and can be confusing for every memeber of society because often there are questions of why a group favors a certain value. Here, in my opinion, is where racism is born ... a culture does not understand another so the differing culture is considered any number of things that lead to division.

Models of Communication
There are two models of communication they are the Transmission Model and the Cultural model.
The transmission model directly relates to communication and the notion that transportation that it is direct, sent from a sender, through a medium, to a receiver.
The biggest challenge with this model, is preparing a message that is created by the sender to be understood by the receiver. To be understood in the same exact way as the sender intended. In this model the effect of the message is direct between the source and the receiver.
In the cultural model, communication is described as a shared space with meaning, that revolves around the space.
By that I mean an area such as language. Our ability to communicate with one another is not all the same, with english, but we have a shared culture here in the USA that enables us to send and receive messages.
